About Liza Brereton
Liza Brereton represents large companies, small businesses, individuals, and non-profit corporations. She values learning about each client’s goals and working together to achieve them. Her practice spans business advice and counsel, business formation and dissolution, boxing and sports law, contract drafting and negotiation, real estate specific performance actions, commercial leases, Trademark application and protection, right of publicity, business litigation, and employment matters. As lead counsel, Liza has secured complete victories for her clients at trial and in arbitration.
Liza also conducts impartial workplace investigations of all sizes, including those involving managers, directors, and union employees. She navigates highly sensitive investigations with the potential for significant exposure. She also conducts interactive workplace harassment-prevention training and drafts employment policies and procedures.
Liza began her legal career at Quinn Emanuel Urquhart & Sullivan LLP. She then served as Assistant General Counsel for several years at a global non-profit corporation, and before founding Liza Brereton Law, she was a partner at Turner Dhillon LLP, where she remains Of-Counsel. Liza is a proud graduate of UCLA School of Law.
Liza brings her passion for sports, especially boxing, to her legal practice, representing clients in the boxing world and creating educational content on legal issues in boxing to help empower people with knowledge. Liza also is a proud member of the Ring of Brotherhood Foundation’s Board of Directors and its Clinical Research Committee. Ring of Brotherhood is a nonprofit organization that advocates for athletes who have suffered life-altering brain injuries.
Liza lives in Los Angeles but as a native of Ann Arbor, Michigan she is an avid Wolverine and Detroit Lions fan. She also enjoys scuba diving, sparring, hiking, concerts, and spending time with loved ones.
